Education Support Programs
CEF Vietnam gives funding for the Education Support Programs that came about because we believe that with the right help a child can benefit more from their education.
Food Support
A bi-annual food allowance is provided to families who do not have enough to eat. Tet Food Parcels are given to our poorest families each year at Tet (Vietnamese New Year). Some families can't feed their family due to unexpected costs from accidents or medical issues, in which case we provide monthly support during the tough period.
Medical Support
This support includes transport to receive dental and medical care. Nutritional supplementation, medicinal herbal treatment and medicines are paid for when required.
Food Support and Medical Support are important as many of the children are thin, frail and malnourished when we meet them and some families can't afford to feed their children well enough .
Bikes for School
Many children can't get to school if they don't have a bike, and some need a bike to get to extra tuition sessions before and after school hours. Some of the older children need electric or non-electric scooters to get to their high school and extra tuition classes.
Mentoring Support
This support was created for high school and tertiary students to help guide, advise and support.
